WordPress as a website

Being a company focused on new web/application technologies, we are often asked to work within a specific development framework. We are always happy to use an app a client is comfortable with ( unless it’s just not a good fit, in which case we have to research, present and justify a better approach)  and lately we have had several requests to develop websites within WordPress. WordPress offers an easy administration interface with quick integration of widgets for galleries, video, forms, etc.  and amazing flexibility in associations between pages, posts, sidebars, footers and any other content area the theme builder has defined. When you combine all this with the custom themes you can create when hosting on a dedicated url, WordPress as a development platform is slowly winning me over when a client wants a robust, dependable, inexpensive cms system.
